This year, rice flowers in Ha Giang bloom early in March and coincide with the "late spring" time in the rocky highlands, where the new cherry blossoms bloom brilliantly.

Photographer Tran Doan Huy, leader of PhotoTrip Thai Nguyen and young people have just had a trip to compose photos of rice flower season in Ha Giang. He said that in Yen Minh district, along Highway 4C leading up to the center of Dong Van rocky plateau and the downward road from Meo Vac district was the place with the highest density of rice flowers.
However, riding a boat on the Nho Que stream watching the rice flower is the most impressive and adventurous experience.
Nho Que River flows on the land of Vietnam about 46 km, through the rugged cat-ear rock layer of Dong Van Plateau Global Geopark system, creating a strong flow with countless white rapids. Water flow alternating between gorges and valleys hidden between high mountains and silver mountains and Ha Giang clouds.
“Visitors definitely feel the joy when the boat sails on the emerald green water, watching the gorge hidden in the floating clouds and the red color of the rice flowers among the mountains. Ha Giang's landscape is majestic and dreamy, ”said Huy.

The rice flower plant is tall and straight, the leaves fall in winter and flower five petals in late spring before young leaves. The H'mong people in Ha Giang often pick up rice flowers for livestock food.
From a distance, red rice flowers dotted the mountainside, along the valley edge like sparks lit the sky, making the soul of the traveler lost in the fairy-tale picture.
